Aiken Horsemanship Academy Fall Season 2012

I am so excited to share with you our upcoming Fall Schedule. We have listened to what you have been asking for and have created a wonderful schedule for the fall!
For now, please mark you calendar and save the date for the courses and clinics you are interested in! Online Registration will be available in Early September. Please, if at all possible, please register for all of our events online as that makes everything easier for everyone!
So, without further ado.. here is the Fall Lineup!
Sat., Sept. 22: Season Kick-off and Demo Day at Dragonfly Farm from 1-4pm. Demos, stories of success, give-ways, and so much more! Be sure bring a friend for this fun, free event!

NEW!! You’ve asked for this: Horse Behavior Series (best taken all together, but can be taken individually.
Meets on Tuesdays from 2-4pm, no need to bring your horse: Sept. 25-Horse Personalities Explained-learn how horses are different, but all the same!
Oct. 2 -Herd Dynamics-how herd order ranking can benefit your training strategies!
Oct. 9 -Socialization-how to safely and smartly add horses to a herd!
Oct. 16 -Begins a 3-week Liberty Series– learn how to apply the above lessons to your own horse. You will need a horse of your own or you can borrow one from us for this, meets Oct. 16, 23 and 30th from 2-4pm

Trail Riding Series, Saturdays on Sept. 29, Oct. 6, Oct. 13 from 2-4pm, locations vary. We start the first one at Sandy Hills farm for water, then the second one covers riding safely in groups, and the third addresses obstacles. The last two workshops are at Dragonfly Farm.

Enhancing the Relationship -our CORE Course #1-great for people new or wanting to review the rock solid foundation that makes your relationship with your horse even more amazing! Fridays, Sept. 28, Oct. 5, Oct. 12 from 2-4pm

Advancing Communication -our CORE Course #2-ERC (the above course) is a prerequisite. This takes it all to the saddle and teaches you everything you will want to know to make ever ride GREAT! This meets four times, starting with the Seat Builder Clinic. Fridays, Oct. 19, 26, Nov. 2 and 8th from 2-4pm.

Clinics: You can take any of the Trail Riding Series or the Horse Behaviors Series as a one-time clinic.
Sat., Oct. 13 from 10-12, Obstacles for Confidence (this is focused on ground work, if you want riding, see Trail Series Obstacles which meets the same day from 2-4pm)
Sat., Oct. 19: Seat Builder Clinic-ever wanted to know how to be a more balanced and effective rider? Come take this course (no horse needed) and get great exercises and skills to advance your riding! From 2-4pm

IMMERSION-When you are ready to focus and catapult your learning and riding to new levels, this event can’t be missed!
Wednesday, Dec. 12-Sat. Dec. 15 from 10am-3pm each day and a lunch celebration on Saturday.

These events will be up on the website very soon. There will be early bird discounts available, so you will want to check your calendars and save the date now! We expect most events to overfill and will be taking a waiting list!
